Expect elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and lions on the northern bank. The Nile delta is one of the best areas in Uganda for shoebill stork sightings.
Most Journey Junction packages include a Paraa–Murchison Falls boat cruise. An optional hike from the base to the top of the falls can be added on request.
Allow 5–6 hours to Paraa via the Masindi corridor, or slightly longer if stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. We use comfortable 4x4 vehicles with an English-speaking driver-guide.
Dry seasons (June–September and December–February) offer easier game viewing and better road conditions. The park is open year-round and green-season rates can be lower.
